The BMW column lock emulator is used when the car's ELV ELV (steering lock) is faulty.

You can solve this problem with the BMW column lock emulator.
It simulates the operation of the ELV (steering wheel lock)
it requires no programming on your part
just unplug the faulty esl elv column lock and plug the emulator into the socket where the faulty part was connected.
What's more, if the ELV (steering wheel lock) malfunctions when locked, the original ELV must be removed from its place because the vehicle's steering wheel is blocked.
